The Bledisloe Cup dates back to the 1930’s and played between New Zealand and Australia in what is viewed as the most prestigious clash of 2 Rugby playing nations.

New Zealand has dominated the contests winning 50 series to Australia’s 12. This year’s Bledisloe Cup series will be played over 2 games as part of the Rugby Championships which also includes South Africa and Argentina.

The first game will be played in Melbourne, Australia on 29th August, while the return game will be played in Dunedin, New Zealand the following week.

Australia have recalled former coach, Eddie Jones, who will look to capture the trophy he won back in 2002, the last Wallabies coach to do so, while the Champion All Blacks will again start as odds on favorites.

Both teams will be looking to assert dominance leading into the Rugby World Cup which starts on 8th September.
